Four women, four ways to revenge…

A Monaco insider reveals what life is like in the world's richest and most secretive enclave, where revenge is best served with a glass of champagne.

Wedged between Southern France and the Mediterranean Sea, the miniature principality of Monaco is a place for aspiration, for comic extremes and for outrageous personalities. Where a businesswoman gets her favourite Chanel suit flown in by private jet. Where Hôtel de Paris serves breakfast to a drunken socialite in a prison cell. Where two Gucci-clad women are behind a string of burglaries.

Against a backdrop of cocktails on superyachts, looking fabulous and feeling empty, this tongue-in-cheek tale revolves around four relatable women who meet by chance in Monte Carlo. After sharing their tales of betrayal, they set up a book club as a cover while they settle each other’s scores. But revenge, like life, doesn’t always go to plan…

I really enjoyed this book, I loved the concept of the four women taking revenge and couldn't wait to see how it was all going to play out! I loved how Monaco was described with everyone being designer and there being lots of money to spend on things if you lived there. This wasn't always the case for everyone but they certainly found ways to the money!

I liked each of our four main characters. Abigail always seemed the plainest and sometimes the most sensible of the group. We had Polina, who made me laugh every time she valued her outfit or one that someone else was wearing! Barbara was an absolute business queen with no holds barred when she spoke, and then Lucinda seemed to truly be in love despite the way she was treated.

I loved the plan that they came up with for each of their revenges and enjoyed watching them play out. Even though a couple of them got more than they bargained for from their plans, and not always in a good way, it was very entertaining reading. And what better guise than a book club!

I liked how the chapters were split between the four characters - focusing on their story whilst still moving the whole story along with it. I liked the writing style and think that the book flowed really well. You can grab a copy here #Aff (If you buy a copy through this link I get a teeny commission of the sale from Amazon)

Huge Thanks to Love Books Tours and Anna Shilling for my place on the blog tour
